·Coordinate activities to evaluate and resolve engineering-related production problems
·Review production schedules, engineering specifications, orders and related information to maintain current knowledge of manufacturing methods and activities
·Confer with Quality Control, Production Control, Manufacturing and other department personnel to provide technical support
·Investigate reports of defective, damaged and non-conforming parts, assemblies, equipment and systems to determine nature and scope of problems
·Oversee all aspects of tooling
·Examine, measure, inspect and test defective parts for conformance to engineering desighn drawings and blueprint specification, using precision measuring and testing instruments.
·Evaluate findings to formulate corrective action plans
·Investigate and resolve tooling problems
·Identify problems, diagnose causes and determine corrective actions
·Confer with management staff to implement plans and recommendations
·Maintain records of tooling procurement, status and disposition information
·Process request for tool repair
·Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product
