I'm working on automating gate removal at the press, of various gate designs and different resins. Currently i'm using pneumatic gate cutters, but these don't always work with all the different part designs, gate sizes, and resins. Does anyone have any experience with different gate removal methods that could be used in conjunction with a robot and that would be more universal? Does anyone have experience in cutting gates with possibly a laser or a cutting blade?

Thanks

Hi Peter,  We use a laser to cut parts that are too brittle to use pneumatic cutters. Contact me and we can discuss.
