Getting ready to start a new program where color match is going to be critical.  Can I get some information about spectrometers?  Any easy to use realiable brands out there at a bargain, any brands to avoid?  Sources for used equipment? Most of the reasearch I have done points to a sizable investment.  Anybody have ideas on how to insure we get the best bang for our buck?

Dan,
Color match is critical for the majority of our products.
We just recently replaced our system and after study determined to stick with the same maker we had previously. That system lasted 10 years and we had very few issues. We were not able to find any system that offered any significant savings over the competition but we finally determined to go with a Konica Minolta CR-400 system. We received a fair deal from George Weckenbrock at Divtech equipment. gweckenbrock@divtechequipment.com

Good luck,
