I'm looking to find out what everybody uses to remove a broken off gate in a mold. And what their using to remove a cold sprue from a mold???

We'll typically heat up a screw with a torch (use a brass screw if you've got one).  We sink the screw into the sprue or gate and remove with a pair of pliers.

We use a process similar to MET Plastics but use a variety of items in addition to screws - like welding rods paperclips.  Welding rob works good because the coating keeps it from getting hot to the hands after heating with a torch.  Make sure the technician doing it has enough experience not to damage the mold while clearing it.

We do the same as MET Plastics
