Plastic injection molding facility needing a self-driven Maintenance Technician responsible for the care and maintenance of all equipment in the facility. It includes installation, construction, repair and trouble-shooting. Flexibility in work hours is necessary.
Must possess skills and applicable knowledge in the field of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical and electrical control, PLC programs, high and low voltage, robotics. Must be capable of welding, soldering and pipe fitting.
Responsible for staying up to date on new products, equipment, technology, and techniques.
Capable of trouble-shooting, operating and diagnosing problems, and correcting computer-controlled (and non) equipment.
Ensure that machinery, mechanical equipment, and utility systems remain in operating condition by employing preventive maintenance; improving uptime and reliability.
Read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, service manuals, work orders, and design drawings.
Follow all required work safety practices as per OSHA. This would include lockout-tagout requirements, wearing of all PPE, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.
Maintain communication with other departments and management. Notify them of any problems or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Demonstrate attention-to-detail in all aspects of work
Maintain parts and supplies inventory and report low supply levels to Manager.
Ensure all paperwork is filled out legibly and accurately. Maintain all files and records in accordance with ISO and OSHA.
Utilize continuous improvement mindset and assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
Performs other such duties as may be assigned.
Five years verifiable industrial experience.
Willing to work required hours to support production.
Available for emergency repairs in breakdown situations.
High school diploma or GED required
College or trade school preferred
