Manufacturing Engineer

Schoeneck Containers, Inc., a winner of Wisconsin’s Manufacturer of the Year award, is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Manufacturing Engineer.

Our goal at Schoeneck is to improve ourselves, our team, and our environment through leadership, attitude, and communication. The engineering team member will need a safe, practical, hands-on approach to support production in the fast-paced environment of blow-molded products. They will be responsible for project management, capital equipment justification, and scientific approaches to troubleshooting and sustainable process improvements. The team member must also demonstrate a desire for personal improvement, provide examples of teamwork initiatives and direction, and illustrate positive contributions to their environment.

•Production and technical support for a 24/7 manufacturing operation
•Safe and sustainable process improvements
•Safe and sustainable technical advancements
•Documenting information for purposes of training, troubleshooting, or general dissemination
•Understand production equipment, schedules, and metrics
•Root cause analysis using Six Sigma methodology
•Project management through goal-setting strategies and project management software
•Team leadership and team building
•Customer satisfaction through exceptional service
•Capital equipment research and justification
•Perform other duties as requested by the Engineering Manager or Corporate Leadership Team.

The selected individual should have a Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field and 3+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.  Must possess hands on knowledge and design ability with electro-mechanical systems, automated equipment and the electronic control systems associated with the equipment in a high volume environment.
