A member recently reached out to me looking to benchmark company turnover. Can anyone please share:
What was company turnover in 2015? And was that typical for an average year for your company? Please include any commentary regarding turnover and how it is going into this year.

Feel free to also contact me by e-mail at aturrell@mappinc.com

Thank you!

We just got back our 2015 Plante-Moran analysis of our company (free, and highly recommended). Using their calc method we were at an embarrassingly high 78.9%. A great number is 14%, and average number is 22%, and a high number is 31%.  We have been slow to increase wages due to automotive contract constraints. However, our area is below full employment and our entry level wages (where most turnover occurs for us) became unattractive.  We've adjusted wages up about 20% recently. This has improved our ability to attract employees, and we will see how retention goes over the next few quarters.
