Looking for advise for best gage and method to monitor the input and output mold ports for processing cooling water temperature.

Hi There,
how much money do you want to spend on mold cooling control?
Typically, a standard Temperature Control Unit (TCU) will give you a very good basic control ($), and from there you can have the controls connected to the molding machine so that when the TCU reads temperature above the setting or if it stops for whatever reason it will send the signal to the molding machine and the cycle will stop, thus parts out of process parameters will not be produced ($$). In addition you could add a visual flow meter to monitor flow ($$$) or a digital flow meter ($$$$) to monitor the flow and with the ability to stop the machine if out of parameters. You can also add a thermocouple to the mold to monitor mold temperature, again the pluses will add $$ up and at the end is really up to you, if your mold is high cavitation and has intricate mold features the more you have to protect it the better.
