David, I've reached out to about 10 TS16949 Certified companies via email to see if they can provide you with the FIFO Inventory program.

Thanks!

FIFO--One example could be to have required production to also report the sequential number of produced in a batch of a specific product as well as the date of production on box labels. IQMS ---- WHMS can help with this.

PMT is TS16949 registered.

You have to register the batch of the product into your system when once shipped. Note that in a successive shipping of the same product that the W/H pulls and ships in the appropriate date sequence.

Hi Charles,

Thank you for your insights. Is it possible I can talk to you on the phone to discuss in detail to implement FIFO within TS guidelines? Or you can reach me @ 815-578-8888 x. 218. or email me at dhuang@novationindustries.com.

Best Regards,

David, call Chuck at 915-593-6922 x-13.

I talked with him last night.  He has an excellent quality manager who administers the TS program that he will probably link you with for more detail.

Good morning David,

We have chosen to keep it very simple as you will see in the attached examples.  These are two excerpts from our procedures and the only place FIFO exists in our documentation.  This along with a basic definition of FIFO added to the training of the effected personnel has been sufficient for our Registrars.  We have recently added a FIFO “check” to one of our layered process audits as well, however this was done proactively by us to ensure compliance.

Hope this helps,
