Plastic Industry Forum - Converse with Plastics Processing Leaders / Equipment / Recommendations on Temperature control for High Mold temps - Injection Molding?
Posted:  06 Mar 2017 17:43
Hello,
We have a new injection molding project coming in, and will be running some high glass filled content PET material.  The resin spec sheets call for using heated molds, above what is capable with traditional water mold cooling systems.  We have some history with hot oil thermolators, but they have been messy and difficult to work with.  Does anyone have any experience using steam as a mold thermal management system?  If so, can you recommend any suppliers?  Thank you in advance.  Corey Linden, Viking Plastics  CLinden@vikingplastics.com”
